Guanshanhu Economic Development Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been selected as one of China's 66 industrial park innovation cases for 2026 thanks to its unique approach to high-quality industrial development. It is one of only four industrial parks in Guizhou to receive the recognition.

Established in September 2013, the zone is an important part of the Guiyang-Gui'an industrial corridor. It focuses on new energy vehicles (NEVs), electronic information manufacturing, and specialty food processing.

It has attracted 58 companies, including Geely Auto and its suppliers, Zhong An Technology Group, and JD.com. The zone has also received provincial-level recognition as a zero-carbon industrial park and an industry-university-research collaboration base.

A key factor in its development has been a strategy built around leading enterprises, coordinated supply chains, and integrated business services. Focusing on the NEV industry, the zone has introduced a coordination mechanism combining industrial chain leadership with dedicated task forces. It maps supply chains, maintains lists of target companies, technologies, and projects, and attracts suppliers through investment promotion.

The zone has also established a system integrating investment attraction, project implementation, and enterprise services. Dedicated teams help projects secure land, infrastructure, and logistics support, while tailored services address companies' operational needs.
