RoboBus, an autonomous mobile space developed by Guizhou Hankaisi Intelligent Technology Co (PIX Moving), has made its debut at the Paris Motor Show 2026, running from Oct 12 to 18 in Paris.

The vehicle is among four products showcased by the company, highlighting advances in intelligent mobility from Guizhou province in Southwest China.

Unlike conventional vehicles, RoboBus has no steering wheel or driver's seat. Equipped with LiDAR sensors and high-definition cameras, it uses self-developed AI algorithms to perceive its surroundings and make driving decisions, including following other vehicles, avoiding pedestrians, and navigating intersections.

Its flexible interior design also allows the vehicle to serve purposes beyond passenger transport, including mobile offices, leisure spaces, and retail services. The concept reimagines autonomous vehicles as adaptable urban spaces that combine mobility with everyday services.

"We have great confidence in Chinese technology. Chinese automakers understand the European market very well, so we are keen to cooperate with them," said Laurent Blanchard, a French automotive distributor visiting the exhibition.

Yu Chuan, founder of PIX Moving, said the company's products were attracting interest in Europe thanks to designs tailored to local preferences and competitive technology and pricing. He added that bringing Chinese innovation to international markets was a source of pride.

RoboBus is already operating commercially in Guiyang's Guanshanhu district. Its approximately 8-kilometer "Wonder Loop" route connects commercial areas, urban parks, and residential communities, with a one-way journey taking just over 20 minutes.

Launched in April, the route is described as the world's first commercial route dedicated to autonomous mobile spaces. It has become a popular local attraction, carrying nearly 400 visitors a day on average during holidays and around 15,000 passengers over China's National Day holiday.
