The Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from Sept 25 to 27 led to a strong boost in consumer spending in Guanshanhu district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The district organized 82 cultural, commercial, sports, and tourism activities at shopping malls, commercial streets, scenic spots, and cultural venues.
During the holiday, commercial complexes across the district recorded about 1.35 million visitors, up 10.21 percent year-on-year, while sales reached 131.36 million yuan ($19.61 million), up 12.19 percent compared to the same period last year.

Shopping centers offered a mix of festive events, food markets, cultural experiences, and promotions, drawing residents and tourists to enjoy food, shopping, and entertainment.
Meanwhile, museums, scenic spots, and cultural venues hosted exhibitions, traditional craft workshops, and immersive performances, further enriching the holiday experience.
