Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is strengthening its position as a core growth engine for Guizhou's digital economy, with big data and digital technologies increasingly driving industrial transformation and high-quality development.
The district's level of integration between big data and the real economy has ranked first in Guizhou for five consecutive years since 2020.
As of July 2026, it had 70 major big data enterprises above the designated size. In the first half of this year, revenue from major internet and related services above the designated size reached 740 million yuan ($110.28 million), while software and information technology services generated 5.29 billion yuan.
The district is also leveraging investment platforms and leading enterprises to expand its digital industries. Guanshanhu Fund Town, the province's only fund cluster platform, has attracted 60 fund companies with more than 160 billion yuan in subscribed capital.
Meanwhile, companies such as Geely Auto's Guizhou manufacturing base are accelerating digital transformation through 5G, digital twins, and AI. The district's smart manufacturing projects have enabled intelligent production and helped vehicles reach more than 70 overseas markets, providing a model for the digital transformation of Guizhou's automotive industry.
