Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has launched a ticket-stub promotion campaign tied to the upcoming World Climbing Asia Youth Championship and World Climbing Series Guiyang 2026, using sporting events to drive spending on dining, shopping, accommodation, and leisure.

At a press conference on Aug 14, district officials said more than 100 businesses have joined the campaign, offering discounts and vouchers to athletes, spectators, and other visitors. The initiative combines provincial consumer vouchers, district-level promotions, and digital services to extend the impact of the climbing events beyond the competition venues.

As part of the provincial "Ticket Stub Linkage · Colorful Guizhou Shopping" campaign, visitors from outside Guizhou who verify their sports-event tickets on the "Yima Guizhou" platform can claim consumption vouchers worth up to 500 yuan ($74.15), with an 80-percent face-value redemption rate. So far, vouchers redeemed in Guanshanhu have generated about 4.8 million yuan in spending and driven around 30 million yuan in overall consumption.

At the district level, shopping malls, commercial streets, and cultural creative parks have rolled out more than 100 event-specific offers. Both physical and electronic ticket stubs can be used for discounts on dining, outdoor equipment, accommodation, markets, and leisure activities.

Guanshanhu is also expanding its digital services through Guijin Pay, a local integrated consumption platform launched on June 18.

The platform supports ticket-stub redemption for vouchers and consumption cards, while connecting online shopping with offline businesses. It is expected to add smart parking, public transportation, and event ticketing services by year-end.
