Guanshanhu accelerates development of low-altitude economy

Guiyang's Guanshanhu district is accelerating the development of its low-altitude economy through a dual strategy of nurturing local enterprises and attracting industry leaders, helping build a growing industrial cluster around unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Guizhou Hengfei Technology Co is a locally cultivated UAV company based in the Guanshanhu Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industrial Park.

Since its establishment two years ago, the company has expanded its production and office space from about 400 square meters to nearly 14,000 square meters.

Its self-developed drones are used in agriculture, emergency response, logistics, and education, while its training programs have produced more than 500 UAV pilots.

The district has also attracted outside investment. Guiyang Smart Drone UAV Co, a subsidiary of a Shenzhen-based drone manufacturer, began operations in Guanshanhu in 2025 after completing its relocation and setup in just six months.

The company manufactures industrial UAVs for logistics, emergency response, and inspection services. It has delivered more than 20 drones for overseas customers this year while expanding applications in China's cultural tourism sector.

The growth of both companies has been supported by Guanshanhu's business service program, which provides policy support, financing, and market access.
