Zhiyi Aerospace (Guizhou) Space Technology Co opened in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on May 29 and unveiled "Jiheng-1," Guizhou's first commercial satellite constellation.

As the province's first company dedicated to satellite constellation construction and operation, it fills a gap in aerospace data sensing and is expected to boost the region's digital economy development.

Founded in December 2025, the company focuses on integrated air-space-ground observation services for meteorological, oceanic, and space-environment monitoring.

Its newly released Jiheng-1 constellation consists of 45 low-Earth-orbit satellites designed to provide high-precision, all-weather global data and solutions for both commercial and specialized applications.

According to the company's development plan, the first three satellites are scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2027. By 2029, nine satellites are expected to be in orbit, enabling global commercial weather and ocean data services.

At the launch event, the company also signed a series of agreements on research collaboration, industrial partnerships, and investment cooperation, aiming to strengthen technology development, talent cultivation, and industrial coordination.

Local officials said the project marks a breakthrough for Guanshanhu's aerospace technology sector and will help integrate space technology with the digital economy, creating new momentum for high-quality regional development.
