Private businesses thrive in Guanshanhu district

In Guiyang's Guanshanhu district, factories are operating at full speed, cultural venues are drawing millions of visitors, and new industrial projects are steadily taking shape. Behind this momentum lies a rapidly growing private sector that has become a major driver of local economic vitality.

Recognizing that a strong private economy is key to sustainable growth, Guanshanhu district has intensified efforts in recent years to improve the business environment, strengthen policy support, and provide targeted services for enterprises.

To support businesses, local authorities have introduced a series of measures, including a joint coordination mechanism for private economic development and a "Five Assistance" service initiative designed to help enterprises address practical challenges.

The district has also established a full-cycle communication and problem-solving mechanism covering policy implementation, financing, approvals, production support, and business operations.

Through regular government-enterprise forums, field visits, digital service platforms, and hotline systems, companies can directly report operational concerns and receive timely responses. In 2025 alone, authorities handled 101 enterprise requests, achieving a 100 percent completion and satisfaction rate.

Business leaders say the support has delivered tangible benefits.

Sun Pengbo, head of the Guanshanhu Modern Manufacturing Chamber of Commerce and general manager of Guizhou Jihongtai Auto Parts Co, said the district government has actively involved enterprises in industrial planning and supply-chain coordination, helping local manufacturers move from operating independently to becoming part of a stronger regional industrial ecosystem.

The district's service-oriented approach has also fueled growth in the cultural and tourism sector. Guizhou Yachentianyi Culture Media Co hosted more than 20 concerts in Guanshanhu last year, attracting over 600,000 fans from across China. Company executives credited the efficient coordination among departments responsible for culture, public security, transportation, and emergency management for ensuring smooth event operations and audience services.

Another local landmark, Ayunduocang, has emerged as a popular lifestyle and tourism destination. The complex hosted more than 1,000 events and welcomed around 6 million visitors in 2025. Founder Cao Guoliang said government support in urban renewal, branding, media promotion, and consumption stimulus policies helped transform the project into a major hub for culture and a nighttime economy hub.

To further encourage entrepreneurship and innovation, Guanshanhu has organized annual rankings and awards for high-quality private-sector economic development since 2022, recognizing outstanding local enterprises and strengthening confidence in the private sector.

For many businesses, Guanshanhu's combination of efficient governance, practical support, and long-term industrial planning is creating fertile ground for growth. As local companies expand into advanced manufacturing, cultural tourism, and modern services, the district is emerging as a dynamic example of how policy innovation and business confidence can work together to drive high-quality development.
