A modern egg production project in Guiyang's Guanshanhu district is now delivering more than 40,000 fresh eggs daily to markets in Guangdong province and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, marking a step forward for the region's agricultural modernization and rural vitalization efforts.
The project is invested by Guizhou Chengbixin Ecological Agriculture Technology Development Co and is a key agricultural modernization initiative introduced in Guanshanhu district in 2025. It is designed with a total capacity of 500,000 laying hens and is being developed in three phases.
Phase I has now entered stable production, while Phase II and Phase III are scheduled to begin construction in June and October this year.
After nearly three months of stable production, the farm's 45,000 laying hens have fully adapted to the controlled breeding environment, achieving consistent and high-quality output.
Inside the production base, a fully automated and standardized system is in place. Climate-controlled poultry houses operate with automated feeding and waste removal systems, ensuring precise and efficient management.
Freshly laid eggs are transported via dedicated conveyor systems to automated sorting lines, where they are graded, packed, and sealed, forming a closed-loop process that guarantees freshness and food safety.
According to the company's project manager, daily operations involve five staff members for farm management, along with more than 10 workers engaged in ongoing infrastructure development. The large-scale, automated farming model significantly improves efficiency while reducing labor costs and ensuring stable product quality.
The project has also created local employment opportunities. Residents from nearby villages have been hired for tasks such as egg collection and packaging, enabling them to work close to home while increasing household income.
Once fully completed, the project is expected to strengthen the region's high-quality agricultural supply chain.
