Guanshanhu eco-food industry surges in Q1

Guanshanhu district's eco-friendly specialty food industry posted strong first-quarter growth, with total output reaching 326 million yuan ($47.82 million), up 76.39 percent year-on-year, signaling a solid start to 2026.

Food manufacturers across the district are operating at full capacity to meet rising demand. Guizhou Haocaitou Food Co reported output of 98 million yuan in the first three months, up 81 percent from the corresponding period in 2025, driven by strong orders for its probiotic drinks. The company plans to further expand production and enhance product development.

Other major producers, including Panpan Food, also saw rapid growth, with multiple production lines running simultaneously and new products boosting sales.

Local officials attributed the momentum to growing market demand and targeted government support, including policy assistance, financing, and efforts to expand sales channels.

Authorities said the district will continue to support the sector by helping enterprises scale up production, improve efficiency, and strengthen market competitiveness.
