Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is enhancing its ecological education with the expansion of the Guanshanhu Eco-Civilization Exhibition Hall, which has been recognized as a green and low-carbon model by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
Located within Guanshanhu Park, the hall now features indoor and outdoor zones. The 1,200-square-meter indoor space includes three thematic sections – "Flagship and Leadership of Eco-Civilization", "Guizhou's Path in Eco-Civilization", and "Harmony Between Humans and Nature" – using multimedia, AR experiences, and a 270-degree immersive theater with five projectors that simulate interactions with birds and fish.
The outdoor area now includes ecological theaters, sky gardens, rainwater gardens, riverside ecology zones, and interactive exhibits such as solar sundials and educational panels on the 24 solar terms.

The recently completed Phase II outdoor expansion increased the exhibition area from 12,000 to 95,000 square meters, improving visitor facilities and enriching the hall's educational mission.
Phase II utilized nearby reeds, ponds, and a small island-like hill to create wetland bird sanctuaries, natural exploration zones, butterfly habitats, and observation platforms, providing visitors with comprehensive ecological knowledge.
Built under a provincial-district co-construction model, this is Guizhou's first county-level eco-civilization exhibition hall. Since its opening in June 2023, it has drawn numerous domestic and international guests, highlighting the achievements of Guizhou and Guiyang in ecological civilization and earning it the title "Guizhou Eco-Civilization Public Education Hall".
