Guanshanhu earns two national honors for booming building economy

Guiyang's Guanshanhu district has once again drawn national attention for its thriving building economy. At the 2025 Global Headquarters Economy Conference and Beijing Forum on China Building Economy, the district was named a "Typical District in China's Urban Economy Index".

Meanwhile, Guiyang International Financial Center Tower 10, located in the district, was recognized as a "High-Quality Development Building of China's Building Economy 2025" at the Global Real Estate Ecosystem Conference of the China International Fair for Trade in Services. Both accolades highlight Guanshanhu's growing competitiveness and influence.

In recent years, the district has developed 161 office buildings, including 20 each generating over 100 million yuan ($13.93 million) in annual tax revenue. By treating high-rises as "vertical industrial parks", Guanshanhu has transformed them into hubs for finance, digital economy, professional services, and creative industries, making the building economy a powerful engine of growth.

The district's success stems from tailored services such as one-stop government support, industry-specific recruitment, and the development of clusters. Buildings specializing in fintech and digital creativity have attracted leading firms, including Tencent, Huawei, and major banks, alongside law and accounting practices.

Officials say the district will now shift from expansion to quality upgrades, aiming to cultivate more landmark buildings and enhance its role as a core hub for high-quality urban economy in Southwest China.
