The 2025 IFSC Climbing World Cup (Guiyang, China), the final stop of the IFSC Speed Climbing season, will be held from Sept 12 to 13 at the Caihu International Climbing Center in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
A total of 73 elite athletes from 16 countries and regions will compete for the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) overall season champion title.
In addition to the sporting spectacle, the event will also showcase Guizhou's culture and lifestyle. Side activities will include a roadside concert series, and an outdoor market featuring specialty coffee, craft beer, gourmet food, and creative products, creating a vibrant social space that blends sports, leisure, and culture.
Located within the 5,500-mu Guanshanhu Park, the Caihu International Climbing Center is the world's only Olympic-standard climbing venue, which is integrated into a city park. It features speed, lead, and bouldering walls, plus dedicated warm-up facilities, and can host tens of thousands of spectators in a natural urban setting.
"This event will further raise Guanshanhu's profile on the international sports stage," said Zhu Mingjian, deputy head of Guanshanhu district. "We aim to use the momentum of major competitions to drive both sports participation and local consumption, while turning climbing facilities into lasting assets for the public and surrounding businesses," Zhu added.
