The Guanshanhu Craft Beer Lifestyle Festival kicked off on July 3 and will run until July 6.

The event brings together 51 top craft breweries from across China – including Youhang and Chi'er from Beijing, Cambrian and Meixi from Chengdu, and local favorites like Tripsmith and Lajiao Brewing.

Over 200 unique beer styles will be showcased in what organizers are calling a "flavor museum". Complementing the brews are 15 food vendors offering regional specialties such as siwawa, yangyu ba, and icy local drinks, making for a rich culinary experience.

"This is not a traditional alcohol expo," said a Guanshanhu district culture and tourism official. "We're creating an immersive lifestyle experience, shifting from selling beer to selling a way of life.”

Adding rhythm to the festivities is the "CHEERS Street Music Party", featuring performances by local bands and avant-garde musicians blending Guizhou ethnic sounds with cyber-inspired beats.

Meanwhile, the "CHEERS Craft Beer Fair" offers engaging interactive activities, including a beer token system for flexible purchases, stamp collection games linking vendor booths, and thousands of customized souvenirs like beer mugs and cooling fans for participants to take home.

With 85 craft beer bars – ranging from expert taprooms to creative gastro-breweries – Guanshanhu has become a hotspot for China's growing craft beer scene. Local producers are seeing strong growth, with annual outputs surpassing 1,000 metric tons, underlining the district's thriving industry and vibrant beer culture.
