New bus line brings easier travel to Haoguan village

On June 17, the newly extended Route 96 bus line launched service to Haoguan village in Zhuchang town, Guanshanhu district, bringing greater convenience to local residents and resolving long-standing transportation challenges.

Haoguan village has long faced issues such as limited access to public transport, high commuting costs, and long distances to the city center. The extension of Route 96 now provides a direct connection to Century City, significantly improving mobility.

Formerly known as Route 6, the newly designated Route 96 now runs between Century City and Haoguan village, with four new stops: Haoguan, Haoguan village entrance, Jinzhong Avenue, and Baihua Lake.

The route now links over 40 stops, including major city landmarks such as the Century City commercial hub, Jinyang Hospital, Guiyang No 1 High School, and seven metro transfer stations like Douguan and Xiamaixi, allowing residents to enjoy seamless "door-to-door" urban access.

In addition, the Zhuchangbao Huinong Line has been optimized to depart daily from Haoguan village at 6:20 am, featuring a designated space for agricultural products. This helps farmers reach early markets more efficiently, solving the issue of "carrying produce at dawn and missing prime selling hours" and supporting rural income growth through better market access.

"Before, I had to walk over 20 minutes to reach a bus stop – now it's just five minutes away," said one villager, expressing the community's excitement over the improved transport.

With these upgrades, public transit is now not only more accessible, but also more responsive to local needs – linking rural livelihoods to urban opportunities.
