Residents of Zhuchang town in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang can now receive packages directly in their village, as the town has launched its first village-level courier service at the Xiaolanshan Digital Culture Industry Ecological Village. This marks a major step in bringing modern logistics services to rural areas.

"In the past, we had to travel 5 kilometers to the town center to pick up parcels, which took about 40 minutes round trip by motorcycle," said Liu Zhongxiu, a resident of Gaozhai village. "Now that deliveries come to our doorstep, life is much easier." Liu added.

Due to its scattered population and low volume of parcels, Gaozhai village previously lacked a courier station. However, since March, with more companies setting up offices in the Xiaolanshan Digital Culture Industry Ecological Village, demand has grown.

Over 10 enterprises with more than 200 employees are already operating in the area, and once the village's main office building is completed, more than 70 companies and 600 staff members are expected to move in.

To solve the "last kilometer" delivery challenge in rural areas and improve logistics for both inbound consumer goods and outbound agricultural products, Zhuchang town coordinated with the Guanshanhu district transportation bureau and China Post. After one month of planning, site selection, and staff training, the new courier station is now operational.

This station is the first in Zhuchang's rural delivery service rollout. Plans are underway to establish six more courier sites across the town, aiming for full coverage and improved convenience for both residents and local businesses.
