The streets of Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province came alive on May 18 as the Guizhou Ethnic Unity Grand Parade – a signature event of China Tourism Day – unfolded along Zhonghua and Zunyi roads, celebrating cultural harmony and tourism.

Leading the vibrant procession were 56 children from the city's Guanshanhu Pomegranate Seed Art Troupe. Dressed in colorful ethnic costumes, the young performers joined hands with adult participants at the front of the parade, creating a strong showcase of ethnic unity.

With hearts connected and voices united, they sang a rousing rendition of My Motherland and I, their clear voices echoing through the streets and igniting the crowd's enthusiasm. Their performance marked the grand opening of this celebratory parade.

Centered around ethnic unity, the parade brought together 26 delegations and more than 3,000 participants from across Guizhou.

Spanning a 2.3-kilometer route, the event showcased the province's rich tapestry of ethnic harmony and its dynamic integration of culture and tourism to audiences near and far.
