The hyperbaric oxygen chamber at the Guanshanhu hospital campus of Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital opened for operation on April 8. After meticulous preparation and testing, the facility is now ready to meet the growing medical needs of patients.

Located in Building 4 of the Guanshanhu Hospital campus, the chamber is equipped with state-of-the-art domestic technology and is Guizhou's largest critical care hyperbaric oxygen system.

It features a four-chamber, ten-door pressurized air system capable of accommodating up to 48 people per chamber. The facility includes multi-person pressurized oxygen chambers, critical care units, decompression chambers, an external high-flow oxygen therapy room, and a VIP oxygen lounge, integrating emergency care, treatment, and wellness services.

Each chamber has air conditioning, comfortable seating, and entertainment systems. The control platform uses an automated computer system for operation and safety monitoring. Safety features include an automatic gas shut-off system and emergency pressure release valves, ensuring patient protection.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy improves oxygen levels in the blood under elevated atmospheric pressure, aiding recovery in neurological disorders, trauma, surgery, and chronic illnesses. This new facility marks a significant advancement in the region's healthcare infrastructure.
