Guanshanhu sees Qingming Festival tourism boom

During the Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6, Guanshanhu district in Guiyang welcomed a surge in tourism, receiving approximately 499,500 visits and generating a total tourism revenue of 249.45 million yuan ($33.94 million).

Compared to the same period last year, tourist numbers rose by 10.6 percent, and tourism income increased by 12.7 percent.

The district experienced a springtime rush, as blooming flowers and golden cole fields drew crowds to parks and rural areas. In Xiamaicheng village, visitors strolled through vibrant flowers, enjoying the fresh air and countryside charm. Baihuahu town hosted various cultural and sports events, adding rich experiences to the scenic outings.

At the flower festival in Xiamai village, traditional activities such as making sticky rice cakes, Bouyei ethnic singing, trying on costumes, and folk games attracted lively participation.

Additional entertainment included the 2025 Chinese Football League (Round 3) and events like the "Duocai Huahai — Xiumei Zhuchang" Festival.

Before the holiday, Guanshanhu held a spring tourism promotion event and launched special offers with local businesses, creating an immersive, family-friendly spring flower viewing experience across popular district attractions.
