Guanshanhu: A young district on the rise

With soaring skyscrapers, green parks, and rows of modern factories, Guanshanhu – Guiyang's youngest district – is surging with fresh energy and innovation. 

At Guizhou Geely Auto Manufacturing Co, 268 robots work in sync to weld a car body in just 61 seconds, with an automation rate of 75 percent. This year, the company became the first in the district to achieve an output of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.39 billion). Its Galaxy E5 model was also selected as the official vehicle for the 2025 Asian Winter Games.

Focusing on key industries such as electronics manufacturing, eco-friendly food, and new energy vehicles, Guanshanhu has launched over 80 industrial projects. It now boasts 2.03 million square meters of standard factory space, with its three pillar industries accounting for nearly half of total industrial output.

The district's office economy is also booming, with 137 commercial buildings, an 87 percent occupancy rate, and over 16,000 businesses. Annual tax revenue from office buildings now averages 10.8 billion yuan.

With a business-friendly environment and growing talent pool, Guanshanhu has built a development model centered on "talent + projects + finance". This is accelerating the rise of new quality productive forces and driving high-quality economic growth.
