The opening ceremony of Laoguo Street in Guanshanhu district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was held on Jan 25, along with the Laoguo Cultural Festival.

Laoguo is a mix of vegetables, tofu, and meat stir-fried in a flat pan.

Located in the middle section of Hefei Road in Guanshanhu, Laoguo Street spans 300 meters and is divided into inner and outer sections, with a commercial area of approximately 7,000 square meters. It mainly features restaurants selling dishes such as laoguo, barbecue, and beverages, but other foods can be found as well.

Earlier this year, in order to promote laoguo culture, Guanshanhu focused on the revitalization of the Laoguo Street area. The initiative emphasized the gathering of the four major schools of laoguo cuisine: Guiyang laoguo, Anshun laoguo, Shuicheng laoguo, and Bijie laoguo, creating flagship laoguo restaurants to showcase laoguo culture.

In order to provide a better dining experience for residents, Guanshanhu plans to introduce a professional management and operation team to enhance the service capabilities and management standards of the area.

On the day, the Shijicheng sub-district in Guanshanhu also signed agreements with Huanlao Dinning Company, Guizhou Laofantian Catering Company and Guizhou Xiaoshiji Catering Management Company, marking the official entry of these three high-quality laoguo brands into Laoguo Street.
