Smart lampposts to be put into use in Guanshanhu soon

english.guiyang.gov.cn|Updated: 2023-06-07

Fifty-three smart multi-functional lampposts will soon be put into use in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The lights can be turned on, off and dimmed remotely, as well as automatically issue warnings about faults. Customized light sources such as logos and special patterns can also be provided as required.

They also have strong compatibility. By building different functional modules, they can be converted into video surveillance poles, traffic signal poles, sign poles, broadcast sound columns, operator base stations, weather monitoring stations, and multi-functional charging stations.

This will improve the level of public management and save maintenance costs.

Using technologies such as the internet of things, big data, 5G, and artificial intelligence, the poles can realize data communication with relevant functional departments to help them capture illegal behavior, and provide data support for sudden meteorological disaster monitoring and early warning services.

So far, this batch of smart poles has been fully illuminated, and hardware equipment such as surveillance cameras, charging piles, information release screens, interactive touch screen systems, spray systems, and environmental monitoring systems have been installed. Some functions are being further improved and debugged.
