The new Colorful Guizhou Ethnic Costume Museum recently opened to visitors in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The museum was first established in the district in 2015 and has now been relocated to the student training building of Guiyang Vocational and Technical College.

It is a comprehensive non-profit private museum that integrates display, cultural exchange, preservation of intangible cultural heritage, academic research, and cultural experience.

The museum collects thousands of representative costumes, accessories, production tools, and daily life items of ethnic groups in Southwest China, especially Guizhou. A considerable portion of the collection has archaeological value.

The museum has been set up to serve as a national cultural education and training base for the college, which will facilitate practical training for companies, teachers, and students.

The museum is open from 9 am to 5 pm every Tuesday to Sunday. Visitors can register for free admission with their ID cards.
