This year marked the fifth anniversary of the establishment of Guanshanhu Modern Service Industry Pilot Zone in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

As the province's only pilot area dominated by the development of the modern service industry, the pilot zone has focused on the development of modern finance, modern exhibition, trade logistics, and construction economy.

To solve financing problems for enterprises, the pilot zone set up different kinds of fund pools and encouraged banks and financial institutions to provide loans worth more than 30 billion yuan ($4.17 billion) to small, micro and medium-sized enterprises.

The pilot zone has developed a comprehensive financial service platform called "Guanguan Huirongtong". So far, 19 financial institutions have set up operations in the zone, with 88 financial products launched, solving six financing needs for five enterprises totaling 7.72 million yuan.

To stimulate consumption growth, the pilot zone has created a consumption-promoting platform called Guanguan Haohuiwan. The platform is mainly coordinated by the government, integrates resources from all parties, and relies on online issuance of consumer coupons and offline theme activities to attract consumers to physical stores to continue and drive consumption growth.

From April 2020 to now, it boosted consumption by about 490 million yuan.

In addition, the pilot zone has solved a series of production and operation problems for a group of enterprises.

In 2021, the pilot zone helped 360 investment-inviting enterprises and key enterprises to register, 87 enterprises to file, and 27 enterprises to set up operations in the zone.
