Guanshanhu district sets goals for 2025

Guanshanhu district of Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been developing its finance, exposition, trade, and modern manufacturing sectors, and has formed four 10-billion-yuan ($1.49 billion) industrial clusters. In 2021, the added value of the district's modern services stood at 59.98 billion yuan, accounting for 84.8 percent of regional GDP, according to officials from the district's modern service industrial pilot zone.

The district's government has recently enacted proposals on promoting the high-quality development of the district's modern services, involving a series of goals to fulfil by 2025.

The document states that by 2025, the district should be home to more than 260 financial institutions and over 270 financial service agencies; a variety of expositions held in the district should generate 5.5 billion yuan in direct revenue; and the district should strive to achieve 50 billion yuan in commercial trade output and 200 million yuan in logistics revenue, with the number of market entities exceeding 15,000.

Guanshanhu district will map out plans to accelerate the development of the high-speed railway economy. It is expected to reap over 5 billion yuan in overall revenue in software and information technologies, have 15 additional business operators headquartered in the district by 2025, and have an office building occupancy rate of at least 75 percent.
