A western China import and export commodity exhibition center in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will start trial operations at the end of December.

The exhibition center covers an area of 216,500 square meters and has received 838 million yuan ($131.55 million) in investment. It aims to become the largest cross-border trade platform in Southwest China, offering imported food, wine, cosmetics, maternal and child products, and luxury items.

Once it officially starts operations, the center will offer high-quality services for customs, stimulate local consumption, contribute to Guiyang's import and export trade volume, and promote the transformation and upgrading of cross-border e-commerce.
