Guanshanhu gears up to expand its industrial muscle

The Guanshanhu district of Guiyang – the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – has put forward the target to expand the size of its industries and achieve 38 billion yuan ($5.97 billion) of industrial output value by 2025.

By that date, it's projected that Guanshanhu will have 80 to 100 industrial companies each with annual revenue of more than 20 million yuan.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, Guanshanhu is projected to invest 41 billion yuan in new industries and its industrial added-value will generate more than 10 percent of the district's GDP and the tax revenue per mu (0.07 hectare) will exceed 300,000 yuan.

By the end of 2025, Guanshanhu will have established another 3 million square meters of standard-sized factories, 90 percent of which will have started operations. It will have also employed an additional 10,000 people, increased its electricity capacity by 300 megawatts and established industry development funds worth 1 billion yuan.

The grand aim for Guanshanhu is to bring in 50 billion yuan of paid-up industrial investment and it will have put more than 100 industrial projects into operation. It will have created 450 new industrial market entities, cultivated one or two companies with an annual output value of 10 billion yuan and four or five groups with an annual output value of 1 billion yuan each.

By 2025, Guanshanhu will have expanded to become an automobile industrial cluster with an annual output value of more than 20 billion yuan. There will also be an electronics information manufacturing industrial cluster in place there with an annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan.

Guanshanhu will have also added 10 square kilometers of industrial land and have constructed 25 kilometers of roads.

It will have completed the construction of water, electricity, road, gas and communication facilities. In addition, it will have added sewage treatment capacity of 30,000 metric tons per day, while the industrial parks' output value will generate more than 90 percent of the district's annual total industrial output value.
