Guanshanhu to assist with relocation of local tech company

A meeting was held on Sept 13 in Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – to discuss relocation plans for Guanshanhu district's Guizhou Xingdaxing Building Material Co Ltd, in order to help it grow sustainably in a better environment.

The meeting was presided over by Liu Xiaowei, a top official at the Guanshanhu bureau of industry and information technology.

According to Liu, the company is a well-developed manufacturer that has a high and new tech enterprise certificate and is also a national intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration enterprise. He said it had made significant contributions to the development of the economy of the district.

However, its operations had some negative impact on surrounding residential areas that had been built in recent years, prompting the company to move into an industrial park that could better suit its development.

The meeting asked related departments to visit residents to handle any complaints, select a new site and set a timeline for the project.
