Guanshanhu district to release its local chronicles

A local chronicle titled Annals of Guanshanhu District (2000-2017) was accepted for publication recently, according to local officials.

Located in the northwest of Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, Guanshanhu district is a new urban area construction of which started in 2000. It now plays an increasingly important role in leading, demonstrating and driving the city's development.

The book details the district's cultural, natural, political, economic and social development from 2000 to 2017. It contains 880,000 words, took two years to finish and is expected to help record the district's history.

Shi Jizhong, former deputy director of Guizhou's Research Institute of Culture and History, wrote the preface for the book. He said that the book highlighted the new concept in modern urban construction, including big data, finance, business and ecology, systematically describing the development of and changes in the district. 

The manuscript of the book has been sent to the publishing house and will be released soon.
