Basic Information of Modern Manufacturing in Guanshanhu District

In recent years, Guanshanhu has set up industrial parks in accordance with a series of decisions and arrangements on vigorously developing the real economy made by the Guiyang municipal Party committee and the Guiyang municipal government. A number of industrial projects have been introduced to promote the construction of these parks, such as the Edenberg Elevator production base (Southwest) and the Geely vehicle industrialization project. Taking Geely's project as the core, the supplementary and extended chain of the complete vehicle parts and components industry has been gradually improved. A total of 24 parts supporting enterprises have been introduced,21 of which have achieved localized production. The total area of finished supporting standard factory buildings has hit nearly 300,000 square meters, and the automobile industry system has begun to take shape. Taking Guiyang Geely's vehicle industrialization and its supporting parts projects as the principle body, the automobile industry development cluster, with a core area of 3.31 square kilometers, has taken initial shape, marking that the manufacturing industry has entered a new stage towards high-end, intensive, green and clustering development. The program has laid a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the industrial economy.

Up to now, Guanshanhu has 17 industrial enterprises that are mainly involved in automobile manufacturing, general equipment manufacturing (elevator), building materials, coal, feed and other industries. Among them, eight are modern manufacturing enterprises, accounting for 47 percent of the existing enterprises above designated size.

In the future, the district will follow the overall plan of "One District, Six Parks", focus on creating an"International High-end Consumer Goods Industry and Trade Demonstration Zone", strive to achieve the goal of "enclave economy", carry out investment promotion and project landing work, and ensure the high-quality development of modern manufacturing. The first aim intends to further promote the development of the automotive industry cluster. The district will develop a high-end modern manufacturing industry with Geely Automobile as the leader, promote cooperation with well-known automobile brands at home and abroad, increase the introduction of the whole industry chain, enhance the supporting capacity of vehicle production, and promote the research, development and manufacture of new energy cars, MPVs and other vehicles. The district will also endeavor to build a manufacturing base for medium and high-end  passenger cars. The second aim looks at vigorously developing medium and high-end consumer manufacturing. Focusing on the development vision of "high-end products manufacturing industries and a hundred flourishing industries", the district will introduce consumer goods manufacturing projects, such as apparel and luggage manufacturing, to create a group of advantageous industrial clusters.
