Basic Information of the Tourism Industry in Guanshanhu District

Guanshanhu district has unique resource advantages. It has a subtropical climate that is humid and mild, with an average elevation of 1,200 meters, an annual average temperature of 15 C, an annual average rainfall of 1,200 mm, and aweather environment qualitythat meets the national first-class standard. The district has Guanshan Lake Ecological Wetland Park,which covers an area of more than 3.66 square kilometers, but also Guiyang Karst Park (with the typical geological features of Guizhou), Baihua Lake Scenic Area, Twelve Beach Reservoir, Panlong Cave, Jiulong Mountain Forest Parks, Baihua Lake Forest Parkand more. There are also a number of functional projects, such as Guizhou Provincial Museum, Southwest International Trade City, Guiyang Ecological International Conference Center, Guizhou Financial City, and Guiyang Olympic Center. Guanshanhu district has a characteristic exhibition culture. Guiyang International Convention and Exhibition Center is a multi-functional international complex with the largest construction capacity and the most complete and advanced facilities in Southwest China. Since its inception, the center has successfully held various large-scale international conventions and exhibitions, as well as having been used for important festivals such as the Digital Expo and Ecological Civilization Forum. Guiyang Olympic Sports Center is currently the largest and most comprehensive large-scale sports complex in Guizhou province, and has been used for undertaking various large-scale sports events and concerts.

Guanshanhu also plays a prominent role as a transportation hub. With the launch of official operationsat Guiyang North Station, the district has formally begun to develop its high-speed rail economy. Guiyang North Station links with many high-speed routes, including Guiyang-Guangzhou, Shanghai-Kunming, Chengdu-Guizhou, Chongqing-Guiyang,as well as Guiyang-Kaili Railway, Guiyang Ring Railway and other lines. At the same time, Guiyang bus passenger station - Jinyang Bus Station is also located in Guanshanhu. The unique transportation advantage in the area will gradually make the district the tourist distribution center of Guizhou province.

According to estimates, Guanshanhu received a total of 7.79 million tourists in 2018, achieving total tourism revenue of 9.865 billion yuan.
