High-speed Train-connected Industrial Park

Updated: 2019-10-15

The roughly 20.19 square kilometer High-speed Train-connected Industrial Park project is situated in the northeastern part of Guanshanhu district.

Drawing upon its convenient railway transport resources brought by Guiyang North Railway Station and focusing on the building of a demonstration area for the integrated development of the  Guizhou Park of the Guangdong-Guangxi-Guizhou region, the High-speed Train-connected Industrial Park aims to develop modern service industries such as big data, cultural tourism and the headquarters economy. It will create an economic platform connected with high-speed railways and featuring a coordinated development between the western and eastern parts of China, contribute to opening up inland regions, integrate industrial growth into urban construction, build a tourism distribution hub, and become a demonstration area for modern urbanization in western China.

Peking University Resources and Dream City (a real estate project), the Kailin Commercial Center, and Salvage Pharmaceutical Health Industry City have already settled down in the High-speed Train-connected Industrial Park. Meanwhile, Shanghai Red Star Macalline Group (a leading Chinese furniture retail chain), Hong Kong Sunbase International (Holdings) Group, and Shanghai Duoshi Group have reached agreements with the local government regarding building their branches in the park.

The High-speed Train-connected Industrial Park, which is directly connected with the old town of Guiyang, boasts 413 hectares of construction land and is poised to become another central business district in Guanshanhu in the future.

In addition, Guiyang North Railway Station has become an important transport hub in southwestern China with roughly 80,000 passengers per day. Statistics show that about 3.6 million passengers arrived and left for other cities via the railway station during the month-long Chinese New Year travel rush in 2018. A total of 420,000 passengers departed the railway station by bullet train in the seven-day National Day holiday in the same year.
